"We engaged what we thought was a flight of 4 MiG 21s. It turned out to be a flight of 4 MiG 21s followed by a flight of two 21s and two 19s. We got into the battle and we got two of them head-on. My wingy locked them up and killed two of the MiG's. There were fireballs and missiles and MiG's all over the place. I took either the number 3 or number 4 MiG and Bob and Rog took the remaining MiG. We thought that was all there were ... I was concentrating on shooting down the guy I had, and Bob and Rog were concentrating on shooting down their's when two MiG 19s appeared at 6 o'clock on Bob and Rog."
